Race-against-time stories are scarcely new. Come and see how a really talented film maker meets this challenge.
Tom Tykwer directed this German thriller in which Manni (Moritz Bleibtreu) is a small-time drug dealer, working for a big-time gangster. He has accidentally left the cash for a large drug deal in the subway, and if it isn’t found within twenty minutes, he’ll be fired (permanently). The only person who can help is his flame-haired girlfriend Lola (Franka Potente), who must recover the money before her boyfriend becomes fishfood.
This award winning fast paced, exciting and aesthetically appealing thriller will have you on the edge of your seat.
After the film you can socialise over a drink with friends in the green room or better still, participate in the discussion facilitated by Sandy Irvine on how the story could be told on the stage.
