The scary excitement of the air raid siren, the blackouts, hardship, laughter and black-market treats. Hear Dolly, cheering up the soldiers with Vera Lynn songs, and find out about Grandma’s dark secret. Travel back to the terrible air raids of 1941; a time of hope, anguish, love and laughter, when northern folk showed what they were made of.
