We are fortunate to have Bill Dodds, an actor and director of long experience, directing this production
Sonia McDonnell, and Kathleen Dodds are familiar and popular actors combining their talents to entertain you in this production. John Errington is an experienced actor who also brings his singing and musical talent to the role of Monsieur Charlot. Lorna Bell and Doreen Shannon are fairly new to Cleadon but you may remember Lorna as Eleanor in the June production.
The audition reading for We’ll Always Have Paris will be on Tuesday, 2nd December in The Little Theatre from 7.00pm.
Anyone interested in being involved in this production should make every effort to attend the readings. Bill Dodds is directing.
There are four female parts:- Nancy, Anna, Raquel and Madame Boussiron plus one male part Charlot.
Our most recent production opened on 11th March 2013. Murder by Misadventure is a play by Edward Taylor. It is a Thriller about TV Thriller Writers Harold Kent and Paul Riggs.
Harold has become dissatisfied with his writing partner and wants to dissolve the partnership but Riggs knows he would not survive as a writer without Harold and threatens Harold into maintaining their association. Harold conspires with his wife Emma to kill Riggs using a plot from a projected script as his inspiration.
The plan goes smoothly or does it??? Laughs, thrills and mind-boggling twists abound in this ingeneous thriller which played at the Vaudeville Theatre in London in 1992 with a cast including Gerald Harper and William Gaunt.

This well established, historical theatre lies hidden in the heart of Cleadon in South Tyneside. The Little Theatre has been hosting performances at its current base since the 1960s but its absence during the Covid 19 pandemic has been a miss for village life, as well as the performers who kept their skills honed with Zoom monologues and online plays during Lockdown.
The 72-seater venue including a bar serving a selection of beer and wines has recently had a dramatic makeover, with a new outdoor walkway, new heritage blue-coloured panelling, stage improvements from a new state of the art sound and lighting system, carpet and more.
Our non-professional group presents up to four major professional quality productions each year plus other lively theatrical and social events.
New members and visitors of all ages are always welcome with plenty of opportunity to get involved on-stage or backstage. If you are interested please ring: 0191-447-6700 / 07791 907941 or complete the form on the Contact Us page.
